碳素工具钢是基本上不含合金元素的高碳钢，含碳量在0.65%～1.35%范围内，其生产成本低，东莞钢材批发原料来源易取得，切削加工性良好，处理后可以得到高硬度和高耐磨性，所以是被广泛采用的钢种，用来制造各种刃具、模具、量具。
